Para eso explicaremos qué es un seguro de alta y baja calidad y qué es una buena y una mala aseguradora ya que son dos conceptos muy distintos. Hay buenas aseguradoras que entre sus productos están los de baja calidad y malas aseguradoras que venden seguros de buena calidad. Por tanto hay que saber diferenciar muy bien entre la calidad del producto y el buen o mal seguro.
La calidad del seguro
Cuando hablamos de calidad del producto nos referimos que ese seguro cubre o garantiza muchas cosas. Que tiene un conjunto de coberturas muy amplias, o sea, que paga cualquier accidente ante cualquier circunstancia, y además, tiene unos límites muy elevados, entendiendo por ello que hay dinero de sobra para reparar aquel daño o pérdida que hayas sufrido a causa del accidente. A partir de aquí, la calidad del seguro va bajando a medida que se va delimitando el riesgo, y a la vez, van apareciendo más cláusulas que limitan los derechos del asegurado. En definitiva, un seguro de alta calidad es aquel que sólo ocupa una hoja de papel y además dice que lo cubre todo sin límites.
Y de seguros de alta o baja calidad, o sea, que cubren mucho o no cubren casi nada, los hay en casi todas las aseguradoras. Siempre está los productos “VIP” o “Premium” en seguros de vida, accidentes, hogar, autos, empresas, salud, etcétera, y los productos “básicos” o “Low cost” que no garantizan casi nada o muy poca cosa.
Sería como en los coches, donde una marca fabrica vehículos de superlujo, y a su vez, utilitarios muy básicos.
La buena o mala aseguradora
La segunda cuestión es saber si estamos ante una buena o mala aseguradora. Una aseguradora es como una casa de apuestas, donde uno puede apostar por su vida y si al cabo del año no se ha muerto el seguro se queda con la prima pagada, y si muere, el seguro pierde la apuesta y debe pagar la indemnización a los herederos del difunto. Y por tanto, la apuesta puede ser sobre el coche, la vivienda, la salud, la empresa o lo que sea.
A nadie nos gusta perder la apuesta, y a las aseguradoras tampoco. Y las aseguradoras saben que si jamás pagaran apuestas cuando suceden los accidentes sujetos a la aleatoriedad, la gente no contrataría seguros.
En la vida hay buenos y malos “perdedores”. Los “buenos perdedores” son aquellos que pagan sus deudas cuando pierden la apuesta, y los “malos perdedores” son aquellos que no quieren pagar sus deudas cuando pierden. Pues es así de sencillo. Las buenas aseguradoras son aquellas que pagan lo que toca cuando “pierden” y las malas aseguradoras son aquellas que no pagan lo que toca cuando sucede el accidente, ponen excusas, incorporaron cláusulas abusivas en el contrato, utilizan a profesionales que timan a la gente con el objeto de no pagar la apuesta u otras actuaciones análogas con el objeto de quedarse con el dinero que le pertenece al otro.

Por tanto, una cosa es un seguro de calidad y otra es que la aseguradora sea buena o mala. Y como siempre decimos, de aseguradoras las hay de buenísimas y las hay de malísimas.

Los tramposos
Y del mismo modo que hay malas aseguradoras que no quieren pagar la apuesta si pierden o hacen trampas para no pagar, también están los asegurados o perjudicados tramposos que quieren “influir” en el juego para ganar de manera ilícita la apuesta. Por tanto el perito también es aquella persona imparcial que debe saber si una de las dos partes comete alguna irregularidad con el fin de quedarse con el dinero que corresponde a la otra parte.

Y las personas no debemos dejarnos influir por la sensibilización emocional de la publicidad de que si un seguro “nos protege”, “mira por nosotros”, “lo paga todo”, etcétera. Es un juego basado en el azar de distintos tipos de accidentes y el pago de las indemnizaciones correspondientes a quienes han contratado esa “apuesta”.
Un seguro es un instrumento financiero para evitar que nos “arruinemos” ante situaciones eventuales como son los accidentes. Nada más. Pasan a coste fijo un posible coste variable derivado de un siniestro durante un periodo de tiempo determinado. El resto sobra.
